Briana "Bree" - FounderBree is the founder of PPAR. She started the rescue in June 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. Bree has three years experience as a Veterinary Technician, and has worked for a few years in doggy daycare and animal boarding. She has a dog named "Task" (see below) whom she rescued in 2017 from a severe neglect and abuse situation. Task's rescue and rehabilitation is what jumpstarted her path to starting her own rescue. Bree currently runs all aspects of PPAR, from field rescues and adoptions, to scheduling and social media. She does this entirely as a volunteer and pays for most veterinary bills out of her own pocket due to lack of donations. Bree hopes to grow PPAR in the future so she can help more animals!

Miguel "Mike" - Field VolunteerMike has been helping as an extra hand, volunteering during field rescues ever since the rescue was started in 2020. He helps with navigation and translation, as he is a fluent Spanish speaker and grew up in the area that PPAR rescues dogs and cats from most. His favorite dogs are Pit Bull and Husky breeds, but he also enjoys any cat that has a spunky personality.

Task - Surrogate DadTask is a four-year-old mixed breed dog, and holds a permanent spot in the Bree's home. He was rescued in early 2017 from a severe abuse and neglect situation, and has been spoiled ever since. He loves cats and dogs, especially as babies. PPAR decided to try him at being a foster Dad, and he has done amazing! Although he can't nurse them, Task helps give orphaned puppies and kittens the (supervised) animal-to-animal affection and comfort they need, which in some studies has proven to decrease the chances of fading puppy and fading kitten syndrome. As they get older, the puppies learn important social constructs from him that they otherwise would have learned from Mom. Good boy Task!
